Coast to Coast Bee Roads Project Creates New Educational Resources for Primary Schools

Thursday 8th May 2014

As part of the Coast to Coast Bee Roads Project, we have a new suite of resources available to download. These resources will help schools to develop their grounds for pollinators, and teach about pollination through the curriculum.

The Coast to Coast Bee Roads Project forms part of the wider B-Lines initiative which is identifying and then aiming to develop a UK-wide network of wildflower-rich meadows and grasslands. The project is aiming to create B-Lines running from east to west across the north of England, linking work in Yorkshire with the neighbouring areas of Cumbria, Lancashire and Greater Manchester.

We want schools across the North of England to help with this exciting project and create a buzz at their school. Using the new Our School Grounds resource sheet, schools can create a Pollinator Improvement Plan. By providing advice via email and through our online forum we can help schools make their Pollinator Improvement Plans a reality. Plus for the first ten schools that send us their completed plans, we have funding available to help pay for the improvements!
