Pollinator Projects

Projects

B-Lines

Imagine trying to travel around Britain without our road and rail network. Or imagine if nine out of every ten miles of road just didn’t exist – life would be impossible!

Give Nature a Home

This project is working in the urban environment in Cardiff to enhance the area for pollinators both in community spaces and homes.

Buzzing Projects

Pollinator populations are fragile. Our series of Buzzing projects work with local communities to enhance  the local landscape for pollinators

Brownfields

Brownfields are land that has been altered by human activity (not including farmland or commercial forestry). Not just the derelict urban areas that first spring to mind, but quarries, brick-pits, old railway lines and disused airfields.

Urban Buzz

‘Urban Buzz’ was an exciting project using innovative techniques to create 944 ‘Buzzing Hotspots’ in England and Wales for our declining pollinators. By transforming mown and unused areas of land, we created more than 325 hectares of rich and vibrant habitat (That’s around 50 Wembley Stadiums!).
