Crayfish Projects Near You

Currently there are number of crayfish projects occurring in the UK including practical conservation to protect threatened populations, and academic research projects looking at a range of crayfish species and issues.

Presented here are summaries and links to some of these projects, these have been split into UK geographical areas, this information is being provided with an aim to facilitate understanding, collaboration and best practice.

Also available is an overview of the South West Crayfish Project which brought together Buglife, the Environment Agency, Avon Wildlife Trust, Bristol Science and Conservation Foundation and Paignton Zoo Environmental Park to monitor, manage and conserve White-clawed crayfish throughout South West England.
