Community Toolkit

You can do an incredible amount to try and safeguard rare and endangered invertebrates.

Use our toolkit to influence local development and make sure that rare bugs are protected where possible.

We often find that when a planning application is made that no invertebrate survey has been carried out. In some cases this is correct but in many cases it has been over looked. You can help by letting your council know that a site could be important for rare bugs and that a survey is needed.

To help with this we have provided some simple information on when an invertebrate survey might be needed and how to let the planning officer know about this.
