FIT (Flower Insect Timed) Count and Pollinator ID course

This is a hands on training session to support the PoMS (UK Pollinator Monitoring Scheme) by gaining the skills and confidence to conduct 10 minute flower insect timed counts in your local gardens, parks and green spaces.

Pollinating insects play a vital role in our environment, ensuring that many of our crops and wild plants are able to set seed and produce fruit. We need to know how pollinator populations are changing and you can help by learning how to identify the key groups of pollinators during these surveys.

Please note that this event will take place at the Morrison’s Community Room, Morrison’s Store, Northwick Road, Canvey, Essex SS8 0SW. Children must be accompanied.
