Join Natur am Byth! for an inspiring webinar that celebrates the Welsh language and sense of place within the environment and conservation sector.

This event brings together speakers whose work demonstrates how the Welsh language can deepen engagement with nature and heritage across Wales.

Through personal stories and sector-wide reflections, we’ll explore how using Welsh in conservation helps communicate with people at every level — from local communities to national audiences — and how working with history and cultural identity in mind can make protecting our landscapes and wildlife more meaningful and effective.

This events speakers are:

Carol has worked as a Ranger with the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park for 28 years.

Covering the north of the Park the Welsh language plays a central role in her work communicating with the public, from landowners to school children and volunteers to visitors.

Passionate about the language she will share some examples of using it to bring the landscape and wildlife of the National Park to life.

Carwyn Graves

Carwyn is an author, public speaker and gardener from Carmarthen in Wales.

A passionate advocate for Welsh food, landscape and culture, he has written three bestselling books: Apples of Wales (2018), Welsh Food Stories (2022) and Tir: The Story of the Welsh Landscape (2024).

His work illustrates how language, land and food are woven together in Wales and his talk will highlight the benefits of a Welsh inclusive conservation sector.
