Discover the Bordered Brown Lacewing & Northern Brown Argus

Wednesday 10th June, 2026 - 12:30 am - 3:30 pm

St Cyrus National Nature Reserve Visitor Centre Old Lifeboat Station, Nether Warburton, St Cyrus, Aberdeenshire DD10 0AQ

Join Buglife Species on the Edge Conservation Officer, Fiona Basford, at St Cyrus NNR to learn how to identify the Bordered Brown Lacewing and Northern Brown Argus, before heading out to search for the Bordered Brown Lacewing among the Wood Sage.

Find out more about the Species on the Edge project and local efforts to survey and improve habitat for these rare species. Last year marked the 200-year anniversary of the Bordered Brown Lacewing’s discovery, and we’re continuing the celebrations by aiming to contribute 200 hours of volunteer effort through surveying and habitat management activities.
