In this training session, you’ll learn about this charismatic and rare beetle species, known from only 15 sites, including Dartmoor. As the sun sets, local expert John Walters will guide your group and show you what to look for when searching for and recording this elusive species.

No experience is required. We look forward to seeing you there!

Directions

To get to Lower Trendlebere Car Park, you’ll need to reach the road between Bovey Tracey and Becky Falls. From Bovey Tracey head west on the B3387 and follow signs for East Dartmoor National Nature Reserve and Becky Falls. You’ll join a nameless road where after the cattle grid, the road immediately bends left (heading west). Go past the Old Manaton Road junction and the car park will be the next right.
