Since Buglife’s foundation in 2002 saving sites of important invertebrate habitat has been a very important focus of our work be it campaigning to save West Thurrock Marshes or Aucheninnes Moss through to intensive on the ground work to restore and enhance habitat on sites such as Canvey Wick Nature Reserve or the degraded peat bogs of the Slamannan Plateau.

This crucial work is often initially hard to fund and we are very reliant on public generosity to successfully intervene especially in the early stages when fighting to prevent a site from being destroyed.  We anticipate several planning battles later this year and the potential to intervene and restore on several other new important invertebrate areas.

The facts:

·         Buglife’s habitat work produces great results for invertebrates

·         We have the knowledge and expertise to save sites at risk

·         We need to raise funds to be able to make timely interventions

Please can you help our Site Savers Habitat appeal?

Please help us secure the future of key sites to help protect some of the UK’s most threatened invertebrates – your donation will make a difference. Remember if you Gift Aid your donation it is worth £2.50 extra for every £10 you donate

Our work would not be possible without your support. Bees and other invertebrates need help to reverse the catastrophic declines in their numbers. Please donate today and together we can restore vital habitats and rebuild strong populations of invertebrates in the UK. Thank you.
