Wood Ant workshop and nest survey in Aberfoyle

Saturday 17th of March 2018, 10 am – 3pm.

Architects, farmers, intrepid explorers and ecosystem engineers, or as we know them, wood ants! These fascinating social insects help to shape Scottish woodlands. Join Buglife to learn more about these incredible creatures. We will also be heading out to survey the local population and hopefully discover some new nests.

The workshop is free but please get in touch to reserve your place.

Meet us at the Lodge Forest Visitor Centre on the 17th of March at 10am. The Lodge is 1 mile north of Aberfoyle, on the A821 Dukes Pass road.

The Carpark is at Grid reference NN 520 014. The closest postcode is FK8 3SX.

Please bring sturdy footwear, waterproofs and a packed lunch.
