How to watercolour a pollinator concertina

About the event

Come and join award-winning artist Alex Jakob-Whitworth online, in real-time, to learn how to make a beautiful “Pollinator Concertina” to put on your mantelpiece! It will also help you identify pollinators in your garden. You will be gaining top quality tuition in drawing and watercolour.

There will be two sessions

Tuesday 17th November 2020: How to illustrate a pollinator concertina
The first session will concentrate on the early stages of making the Concertina and how to illustrate pollinators.

Tuesday 24th November 2020: How to watercolour a pollinator concertina
The second session will concentrate on showing you how to complete the watercolour, and assemble the Concertina.

You will need:

  • Watercolour paper
  • Masking tape/double sided tape/sellotape
  • Black fibre tipped pen
  • 2B pencil
  • Eraser and sharpener
  • Reference photos – although these can be supplied in advance for you to print out
  • Strong cartridge paper or card

The talk will be live and take place online, so you can join Alex from the comfort of your living room. You’ll need a laptop, desktop PC, or smartphone to join.
