In Northern Ireland the Wildlife and Countryside Act is transposed by the Wildlife (Northern Ireland) Order 1985. With regard to the protection of species, this is very similar to the Wildlife and Countryside Act. The invertebrate species listed under the Order are shown in Table 1B.
