Have your say on how to protect England’s natural environment

This is your chance to help the environment by completing a simple questionnaire. Anyone can take part whether you have a passion for invertebrates or just enjoy a walk in the countryside.

Please note the deadline to complete this questionnaire has now passed.

The Government has launched a White Paper on the Natural Environment. This is the first proper paper review in this country for twenty years and really will impact on everything relating to the natural world. The White Paper is important because it will address the recent funding cuts and failure to stop biodiversity loss, and will be used by the Government to review the way it delivers conservation.

The Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) is asking people like you to share your views on how to protect England’s natural environment by completing a simple questionnaire.

Anyone can take part – whether you are interested in bugs or just enjoy a walk on a local nature reserve then the Government wants to hear your views. If you are passionate about invertebrates then please do mention them in your questionnaire as they form two thirds of our wildlife (plants and animals) will almost certainly be under-represented in this consultation.

The survey takes only a couple of minutes to complete and the deadline is Saturday 30th October. Click here to complete the questionnaire and help nature in the UK be protected and enhanced for future generations.

Buglife is submitting a more detailed response to the Government in response to the White Paper consultation. However, your voice for invertebrates is just as important so please complete the questionnaire today.
