Buglife Member's Day and Open Day 2009

Why should we conserve bugs? How can I garden to benefit bugs? What is a living roof? All these questions and more will be answered at the Buglife Open Day!

Buglife's Annual Open Day and Member's Day will be held on Saturday 25th April

Talks and exhibitions will be available all day and you can drop in when it suits you and stay for as long as you like, although you are of course invited to come for the whole day!

Talks will include:

  • ‘Ponds, plants and places to live – an introduction to gardening for bugs’
  • ‘Living roofs - high-rise homes for bugs’
  • 'Conserve bugs? Why on earth would you want to do that?' by Buglife's Director, Matt Shardlow

We will have live bugs, interesting displays, and activities for children. The Buglife team will be there to talk to you about our conservation work, wildlife gardening and how you can get involved.

Buglife Member's Day is completely free to all our members and their companions. Non-members are welcome but will be charged £5 for adults and £2.50 for children upon entry - this includes a light buffet lunch.
