Help save the ‘small things that run the world’. Buglife - The Invertebrate Conservation Trust is a rapidly growing charity that aims to stop invertebrate extinctions and raise awareness of these incredible animals.
Buglife is a leading organisation in conserving brownfield wildlife and as our Brownfield Conservation Officer you will be responsible for managing a small team to implement a large and ground breaking programme of work; assessing, mapping and conserving invertebrate biodiversity on previously developed land. You will also be able to develop and take forward new activities across the UK to secure the endangered species that depend on these habitats (for more information click here).
The successful applicant will be able to manage people, prioritise work and administer and create projects; a proven communicator with good written skills; an influential personality with the ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships. He/She will also have a good level of general ecological knowledge; an understanding of the relevant conservation issues; and three year’s relevant work experience or equivalent. Experience of planning policy, contract management and Health and Safety procedures would be an advantage, and a commitment to protecting the environment and making a positive difference is essential.
