New guide to bees published

Buglife and the Field Studies Council are pleased to announce the publication of a new fold-out guide to bees.

With text by Buglife and Chris O'Toole, the guide provides an introduction to this fascinating group. Thirty-four full-colour paintings by Chris Shields illustrate 28 species. A table provides information on distribution, flight period and foraging preferences for each of the species illustrated.

In a soon-to-be published review, national bee expert Mike Edwards has said "I heartily recommend this little publication as a taster to one of our favourite insect groups."

The guide, part of the Field Studies Council's successful fold-out charts series, costs £2.50 and is available direct from the FSC by clicking on the image below, or from usual retailers. We are also planning in future to sell the guide through the Buglife website.

Royalties from the sale of this guide will go towards Buglife's work conserving the small things that run the world.
