Buglife Scotland

The ‘Conserving Scottish Invertebrates’ project has been established in partnership with the Initiative for Scottish Invertebrates, and is funded by Scottish Natural Heritage. The aim of the project is to produce an invertebrate conservation strategy for Scotland as well as looking at way to translate policies and intentions into practical actions that have credibility with fellow professionals and the general public.

The Project will build a broad partnership amongst entomologists and conservationists around the actions contained in the strategy. In addition, it will develop a greater awareness of Scotland’s distinctive invertebrate fauna amongst the public, conservation organisations and decision makers.

This is a unique opportunity to make a difference for invertebrates in Scotland, however for the project to succeed we need to engage with as many individuals as possible with an interest in Scottish invertebrates. If you would like to be part of the future for Scottish invertebrates, then please contact Craig Macadam, Buglife’s Conservation Officer for Scotland, using the link below.
